Business Awards
2008: Dresser Roots received the 2007 Small Business Award during the annual Connersville/Fayette County Chamber of Commerce Dinner and Awards Banquet which was held on Thursday, February 7. The award is bestowed upon a business that “…demonstrates and exemplifies the American Dream of free enterprise and success – a business that has, and continues, to make a significant contribution and impact on the community.”
2008: Dresser Roots was recognized by Junior Achievement of Eastern Indiana and presented the Best Business Partner Award during the Volunteer Recognition Luncheon at Willow brook Country Club on Thursday, May 29.
Community Recognition
2007: Dresser Roots sponsored a team in the Whitewater Area Literacy Coalition’s Annual Spelling Bee, and they came in first place! The annual event funds materials used by the WALC to aid in teaching area adults how to read.
2008: The Dresser Roots team won the annual Whitewater Area Literacy Coalition’s Spelling Bee for the second year in a row on Monday, January 28. This is a community fundraiser whereby the proceeds are used to purchase training materials for the adult literacy program.
Summer 2008: Participated in the Indiana Chamber of Commerce INTERNnet Program for Teachers. Connersville High School Industrial Technology Teacher Anthony Bishop spent five weeks (June 23 thru July 25) with EHS Manager Kevin Lingg as we prepare for our initial ISO-14001 certification.
